A Tall Ship.</title><summary type='text'>When we stopped by the waterfront park commemorating the landing of Spanish explorer Tristan de Luna in 1559, we noticed a tall sailing ship lying at anchor in the bay.

Besides the building associated with a county seat, the town has a couple of nice "town squares" and a waterfront area.  Live Oaks are the evergreen attraction in the squares.

But it turns out that there are three public squares in the older part of the town and some nicely restored buildings.

And we stopped for one more flock of sheep on the hills, too.

A much darker distinction is the presence of the Sighet Prison where the former communist government held political prisoners.

This is a town that borders on Ukraine.  The next morning, we headed a few miles west to Sapanta, home of The Merry Cemetery.  For anyone traveling in the northern part of Romania, this is a "must-see."

I always love to take pictures of "interesting infrastructure."  We noticed this utililty pole across from the hotel in Bucharest.  This might top anything I have seen in Egypt.  At least they seem to be labeled.

visit.  The prices at this station are pretty typical.  The price is in 
LEU which is abbreviated as Ron.  No, I can't explain that.  LEU is the 
name on the currency but RON is what you frequently see on a price tag. 
 They are worth about 31 US cents at the moment.

I was still hoping to gather some information on Cliff Berry, computer pioneer.  Berry lived there with his father from about age 11 to age 14.  Then in 1932 his father, Fred Berry, was shot, apparently over an argument about a proposed municipal power plant in Marengo.  Berry was the local manager of Iowa Power at the time.
