The grape vines lay dormant and were shrouded in fog during much of our visit to the area. This should not be surprising since the grape of the area is the Nebbiolo and Nebbia means fog in Italian.
So, we had to use our imagination to picture the grapes at harvest time.
And with a little more imagination, I could even see the wine-makers hard at work.
Those, of course, were paintings found on the side of wineries and near one of the famous towers of the area.
