Blogging From the Cruise Ship

We are sitting on the sundeck of the Royal Ruby cruise ship on the Nile.  Paused at the locks about fifty miles south of Luxor on the first day of the Nile cruise portion of our trip.

Our guide, Abrahim was kind enough to loan me his Dell Vostro for a few minutes.

The big news of the past few days occurred on Sunday when Egypt scored a 1-0 victory in the finals of the Africa cup.  We missed the game since we were at the train station in Giza preparing to leave town on the overnight train to Luxor.

We got a call from a friend who celebrated in the streets of Cairo until well past 3 a.m.  Here is a picture of our tour guide celebrating in Luxor too.
