I described our visit to Bellingrath Gardens over in Theodore, Alabama in this post. We went back yesterday for a final look before we leave the area. Four weeks has made quite a difference. The Camellias are done but the Azaleas are about at their peak. In fact, I was tempted to stop at several points along the way to photograph the Azaleas in yards near the highway.
This is pretty typical of several paths in the Gardens.
With Individual bushes and flowers looking very nice.
The mix of flowers and shade is very intriguing.
Even the herons seem to like the atmosphere.
We walked a bit more of the trails this time, going over to the Bayou where the Cypress trees are starting to show some color.
Delphiniums are beginning to show color in front of the home.
And any view with water and Azaleas is worth a pause.
