Sighetu Marmaţiei

Yesterday's trip was about 125 miles to the east from Gura Humorului to Sighetu Marmaţiei.  Google maps thinks this is a three hour trip but they haven't seen the potholes!   The scenery was beautiful but photos will have to wait.

Sighetu is on the border with Ukraine.  This is in a very traditional area of Romania.  So where better to try the traditional Romanian Tripe Soup?  I had been putting this off until the right time and this was it.

It was very tasty.  A little butter, sour cream and a hot pepper gave some hearty flavor to some otherwise bland tripe.
