The Great Salt Lake

After touring downtown Salt Lake City, we wanted to take a close up look at the Great Salt Lake. The downtown Visitor Center staff had recommended a trip out to Antelope Island. This was close to Linda's niece's home so we drove over the bridge for a visit.



Antelope Island is known for both wild game and its heard of bison.

The view of the lake is probably as good as you will find.



And we were pleased to be delayed on our return by a crossing heard of bison.


The island only has roads on one side so there are many hiking opportunities too.
